Why we exist

In theatre our services are delivered through 148 Squadron Expeditionary Force Institutes (EFI) and our civilian staff. Managed by NAAFI, EFI are unique and work alongside Forces personnel on deployment, where civilian contractors are not usually authorised to go.

The service itself delivers our troops a taste of home and a morale boosting link to normality in what are often extreme and hostile conditions.  

Wherever our troops are on the front line, you can guarantee that EFI will be right there with them, on their side, by their side. All NAAFI employees who complete a minimum of 30 consecutive days in theatre receive the Operational Service Medal and we take pleasure in recognising the efforts and achievements of those members of staff who continue to make a difference overseas.
