Why we exist

When the going gets tough, NAAFI can be relied upon to stand up and be counted. Nowhere is this seen more plainly than in theatre.

Over 550 NAAFI staff have paid the ultimate price for their dedication, losing their lives in supporting the Services in conflicts all around the world. Many more have been awarded personal campaign medals for their outstanding commitment.

Whether on land or at sea, our services are delivered to troops on the front line through 148 Squadron Expeditionary Force Institutes (EFI) and the Naval Canteen Service (NCS) providing a taste of home and a morale boosting link to normality in what are often extreme and hostile conditions.
