Since 1921, NAAFI has been a 'not-for-profit' organisation - something that remains true to this day. With no shareholders to reward, all of NAAFI's financial surpluses are reinvested back into the Armed Services through:
NAAFI makes a quarterly welfare payment to the military to improve the standard of living of its troops and families.
We often run outlets at a loss so we can provide service families with home essentials and
services that would not otherwise be available. Gains made in successful outlets therefore help to fund those that are more expensive to run; in schools for example.
To ensure Service personnel and their families aren't disadvantaged by living abroad we subsidise the delivery of basic British favourites, such as bread and milk, so that families can enjoy all the comforts of home whilst overseas.
